Abraham Strawder
Sr.
Feb 10, 1949 — Feb 26, 2022
Abraham Strawder, Sr.
February 10, 1949- February 26, 2022
Abraham Strawder, Sr. was born February 10, 1949, in Fort White, FL to the late George & Marion Strawder. He departed this life February 26, 2022, at Haven Hospice in Lake City, FL.
Abraham gave his life to Christ at an early age and left this life knowing that God Is. In the early years, he served as Deacon at Holy Temple COGIC. Later in life, he moved his membership to Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, where he remained a faithful member until his health started to fail. "Abe" as he was passionately known, retired after 34 years with the Columbia County School Board. Lake City Middle School didn't open or close without Abe!
He enjoyed the simple things in life…spending time with his honey "Meda", children and grandchildren. He was known for serving up the best barbeque/smoked meats in Columbia County and talking trash to anyone, at any time.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Almeda P. Strawder. (5) children; Brian & Terrell (he adopted and raised as his own), Shontez (Monty), Abraham (Kashemia) and Ethel. (2) granddaughters he raised as his own; Nekeshia Strawder & Kylia Burris. (5) grandsons; Abraham, III, Moriole, Jeremiah, Antwan, and Kyrin. (6) granddaughters; Nekeshia, Aubriana, Alexia, Miyani, Kylia and Emyra. (4) great grands; Olliyiah, Ollie, Ollin, and Olliyiana. (3) siblings; Frankie (Joretha), Marion (Gainesville) and George Mack (Ft. White). A host of other loved ones and friends.
