Born in Gainesville, Florida, on May 21, 1972, Anthony Bernard Rivers was the youngest of seven children of Mary Lou Cooper. His father is Theo Rivers. Anthony was a kind and happy child. He attended the public schools of Hamilton County and  made good impressions as a likable, gentle boy on both teachers and classmates.

In 1993, Anthony left Jasper to live in Jacksonville, Florida, where he resided until his passing. He loved to read books and watch westerns. He was intelligent and well loved by all.

He transitioned from this life on Tuesday, April 21, 2020. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Theo Rivers, Jr. (aka "BoBo"), Herbert Lee Rivers, and Earnest James Rivers.

Anthony leaves to cherish his loving memories to his mother: Mary Lou Cooper; three sisters: Dorothy Milton, Jo Ann Rivers, and Karon Rivers, all of Atlanta, Georgia; one niece: Lavern Rivers of Hahira, Georgia; great niece and nephew: Jayda and Jaylon Rivers, both of Live Oak, Florida; one aunt: Jessie Mae O'Neill; and a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.
