Listen to Obituary

Antonio Ed Boykin Sr. was born March 24, 1984, in Jasper FL. to his loving parents Julia A. Bristol and Lawrence J. Boykin Sr.

Tony or Ed , as he was affectionately called, grew up attending the Hamilton County School District Systems, where he was known as one of the cool kids. At a young age, the love of sports captured his attention, leading him to excel as a teammate in both football and basketball for the area teams.

Tony growing up was an adventurous and humbling kid. He would do anything for anybody and had an undeniable love for his family.

At an early age, Tony dedicated his life to Christ and became a member of New Bethel AME Church. He was baptized under the leadership of Reverend Charles Burke Sr. and served in the youth department until his family relocated to Lake City, FL.

On March 7, 2025, our Heavenly Father called Tony into eternal rest. Tony peacefully answered, receiving his father's command and followed him home.

A charge to keep I have, a God to Glorify. Who gave his son my soul to save and fit it for the sky. To serve a present age, my calling to fulfill. O may it all my pow'rs engage to do my Masters will. Hymn 454
