Barbara A. Lew was born March 2, 1961, to the late Mother Rosa Burns and the late Arthur Burns in Alachua County.

On December 31,2022, God peacefully called her home to rest.

In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by one sister, Alice Reid, and two brothers, Willie James Cooks, and Donnie Burns

She leaves to cherish her precious memories five children: Venita Pugh (Jimmy) of Mayo, Florida, Edward Lewis, and Andrea Taver of Jacksonville, Florida, Alfonza Lewis of Live Oak, Florida and Calvin Burns of Milton, Florida; one Godson: Tyrese Fleming of Madison Florida; fifteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers; Henry Cook (Brenda) of Monticello, Florida, and Arthur Cook of Mayo, Florida; two sisters: Derrie A. Burns of Mayo Florida, and Linda Tucker (Walter) of Perry, Florida; a special stepbrother/friend: Cleve Pugh Mayo, Florida; and host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and sorrowing friends.
