Benjamin Franklin Bell Sr. , peacefully transitioned from his earthly life on December 26, 2023 while resting comfortably at home. He was born to the late Joe and Edith Bell on May 3, 1952 in Valdosta, GA.

Ben was a lifelong resident and was educated in the public schools of Hamilton County, FL. He was a graduate of the J.R.E. Lee Class of 1970.

As a young adult, Ben accepted Christ and became a member of New Bethel A.M.E. in Bellville, FL. He never forgot his faith and trusted in God to see him through the good and bad that comes along with life.

Ben was a family man and always believed in being a provider for his family. He began in the workforce immediately after high school before he faithfully worked for 42 years for Occidental (PCS/Nutrien) before retiring in May 2017.

Ben encounter some health issues along his journey but nevertheless he pressed his way to enjoy his life. He leaves to cherish his memories seven children: Fred McClain (Tawana) of Dothan, AL, Benjamin Bell Jr., Peggy Bell of Jennings, FL, Tonya Bell (Keith) of Jasper, FL, Lori Bell (Devon) of Live Oak, FL, Arntrael Bell (Kareem) of Gainesville, FL, and Shannon Johnson (William) of Jasper, FL; thirteen grandchildren; three great-grands, five sisters Eldora Williams of Jacksonville, FL, Barbara Browder of Chicago, IL, Juanita Bell and Mammie Johnson (Nathaniel) of Columbus, GA, and Deloris Wilson (Bennie) of Jasper, FL; devoted friends Maggie Tyson, Betty Bell, and Ray Ash; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and sorrowing friends. He was preceded in death by his sister Quilland Reed, brother Joe Bell, Jr., and son Charles Bell.

Ben will be remembered for his fascination with the latest trends of gadgets, electronics, gardening, and being a great friend to all he encountered.
