Mrs. Betty Ruth Gardner was born on January 8, 1956 to Butler and Lily Hall in Hamilton County. Throughout her younger years she attended Suwannee County Public Schools

She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age as a a member of Westside Church of Christ.

Betty departed this life on October 21, 2021 at North Florida Regional Hospital in Gainesville, FL

On September 17, 1971 Betty was joined in marriage to Edward C. Gardner to this union 5 Children were born. One preceded her in death Betty (Shonda) Gardner Hughes
