Betty Grace , as she was known by many was born on June 23,1949, to Ruthie Mae Gunsby and Earnest McClain Sr. in Jennings, Florida. She accepted Christ at an early age and attended St. Mary Baptist Church. She attended the public Schools of Hamilton County. After, she moved to St. Pete, FL for a few years then returned to Jennings, where she worked in service at the Holiday Inn until health conditions necessitated a change.

Betty Grace was a devoted daughter, mother, and grandmother who loved the lord, her child, and grandkids more than anything and spending time with family. She was a very quiet person until she wasn't, a very giving and loving person. She was truly loved and will be missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her father Earnest McClain Sr., Mother Ruthie Mae McClain, Brother Sammie McClain, and only Daughter Angela Sheppard.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories her granddaughters, Kiesha (Juan) Harris, and Angelica Sheppard; Great Grand-children, Kailah Singletary, Regan Harris, Amoni Brown, Morgan Harris and Juan Harris Jr; Brothers Earnest McClain Jr. Robert McClain, Lenorris (Kshara) McClain, Izell McClain and Dennis (Kinshara) McClain; Sisters Ella Ruth McClain, Elaine McClain; Aunt Eloise McCloud; A special friend Caroyln Jones; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
