On July 4, 2019 in Lake City, Florida, God called his angel home from labor to rest.
On July 7, 1956, she was united in Holy Matrimony the late Bennie D. Morris and to this union seven (7) children were born. One preceded her in death. They were married for forty-five years.
B etty P earl L ock accepted Christ at an early age and joined St. Mary's Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor F.W. Williams. She was a faithful worker who held many different positions including a few: President of the Senior Choir, Church Secretary, Pastor's Aide Committee, Church Cook, Deaconess, Mission President, and First Central Queen for many years. She was a loyal and dedicated servant for God.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories: one (1) son, Bennie J. (Sonja) Morris of Bellville, FL, five (5) daughters, Juliet (Clarence) Tucker of Bellville, FL, Syndiretha (Winfred) Warren, Deborah (David) Aikens, Janis (Robert) Smith, all of Lake City, FL and Gwendolyn (Sylvester) Curry, Jr. of Hinesville, GA; twenty-seven (27) grandchildren; forty-three (43) great grandchil-dren; two (2) great great grandchildren; two (2) special nieces, Sheila Tucker and Princess Bailey; three (3) special nephews, Terry, William and Kenneth Lock; two (2) brothers, Willie C. (Mary) Lock of Chiefland, FL and Billy R. Lock of Orlando, FL; two (2) sisters-in-law, Norma Lock of Lake City, FL and Walker Mae Lock of Orlando, FL; special adopted grandson, Emmanuel Davis and special friend Cassandra Davis; St. Mary's Church family and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and sorrowing friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Inez Lock and William Bill Lock; her husband, Bennie David Morris; one brother, Bill Lock; two sisters, Alberta Montgomery and Ida Mae Bristol.
