On Tuesday morning, May 5, 2020, Mother Beulah Mae Thompson departed this earth and peacefully went to glory.
Mother Beulah Mae Thompson was born on September 30, 1924 in Ashburn, Georgia to Mrs. Leola Section Paul. She was the Founder and Mother of Christ Gospel Holiness Church in Valdosta, Georgia. She was employed at South Georgia Pecan for over 30 years and an additional 20 years with the Griner family. Mother Beulah Mae Thompson was married to Deacon John Thompson, Jr. They were blessed with two daughters, Annie Bell Palms and Yvonne Thompson, as well as a nephew, Jerry Mathis, who she raised.
She was preceded in death by her mother and one daughter, Annie Bell Palms; three brothers: Edmond Paul, Richard Paul, and Wilbert Paul; and one sister: Leeanna Jones.
She is survived by one daughter: Yvonne Thompson of Atlanta, Georgia; two grandchildren: Edith Palms Workman and Gregory Palms (Tammi); four great-grandchildren: Adra Workman (Su), Erica Garner (Donnell), Christopher Palms, and Gregory Palms, Jr.; four great, great-grandchildren: Alexander Mobley, Chayce Workman Green, Caleb Workman Green, and Javon Garner; two sisters: Mary Paul Mathis and Betty P. Miller (Johnny), both of Valdosta, Georgia; a devoted cousin: Mrs. Dorothy Baker (Julius); a devoted CNA and friend: Mrs. Myra Davis; two God-sons: Ricky Thomas and Elisha Jones; two God-daughters: Carla Robinson and Alice Parks; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
