Bruce D. Sanders, 56, passed away Friday, July 28. 2023, in his home in Saint Petersburg Fl. Bruce was born September 02. 1966, in Hamilton County Florida, a son of Helen D. Jenkins.

Bruce married Cynthia D. Sanders on March 18. 2016, in Jasper Florida. Their marriage was solemnized by Sally P. Armstrong. Bruce was a well-known fisherman and auto mechanic. Bruce made the decision to change his life and give his life to Christ in 2005. Bruce was baptized by his grandmother Sally P. Armstrong. Bruce was a loving and caring man who seemed to not have much, but what he did have, he was willing to give, even if it left him without. Someone who would open his home to all. Bruce could fix a dinner that could feed 30 families to make sure you ate. "Come eat," he would say, with just grits and a piece of fish, but you ate. Someone who saw the good in you, even when you didn't see the good within yourself. Bruce always looks for the brighter part of any negative situation. "It's some good in this' ' he would say. Despite his circumstances, Bruce still smiled, because he found he had a purpose. Bruce was a very family-oriented man, regardless. "A family that prays together, stays together." "Now hug, kiss and makeup," were his teachings. "Family is all you got, don't ever let anything come between that." Bruce also loved sports. Bruce's greatest empowerment was his strength. Bruce never wanted to see anyone crying or hurt about any situation. Bruce would do his best to fix it, but in the meantime, chin up, chest out and clean your face. "You're stronger than any situation because its only temporary." Bruce loved to hunt and fish. Bruce took pride in being a real "country man." He was a true free spirit. Bruce is survived by three sons and four daughters.

Sons: Justin Pompey, Bruce Sanders Jr. Terrell Sanders
