God has once again stopped by the garden of life to add to His heavenly bouquet. An active life came to a close on Saturday, March 21, 2026, when Mother Carrie Lee was called by the Angel of Death.

Carrie Mae Lee was born on July 25, 1948, in Quincy, Florida, to the late Edward and Williemae Thomas. Carrie attended the public schools of Gadsden County before relocating to Jennings, Florida. In 1968, Carrie was married to Willie F. Lee Sr., and to this union five children were born.

Carrie was preceded in death by her father and her mother in-law; Luther and Eddie Mae Lee; Doll Thomas; Dell Thomas; Irene Thomas; Lillie Brown; Edward Thomas Jr.; Billy Thomas; Henry Lee; James Lee; Sylvester Lee; Lula Lee; and Hattie Lee.

Carrie leaves behind to cherish her precious memories her loving husband, Willie Frank Lee Sr., and her five children: Caroline (Valdon) Fordham, James (Weinfer) Lee, Victoria Lee, Willie Jr. (Dahja) Lee, and Linda (Marvin) Peacock. She also leaves 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; her brother-in-law, Jerry (Linda) Lee; her sisters-in-law, Lillie Lee and Loretha Bellamy; her sisters, Dot Thomas, Nellie (Will), Nita (John) Temple, and Virigina Thomas; her brother, Dallas Thomas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
