Charles Elbert Henderson, Jr., known fondly as CJ, was born on February 5, 1992.  His arrival was long awaited by his parents and family.  Little did we know at the time, his smile would be the signature of his personality and he was Heaven's very special child. CJ was a joy and his smile melted hearts as the second grandchild for this branch.  The smile on his face told his story…one of happiness, joy and love.  He was indeed Heaven's very special child.

He attended school in Hamilton County and graduated from Royal Palm School in 2014.  He enjoyed this celebration so much with family and loved ones.

CJ attended church services in Jasper and Statenville and this was always a pleasure.  He was Heaven's very special child.

~Heaven's Very Special Child~

A meeting was held quite far from earth,
"It's time again for another birth,":
Said the angels to the Lord above,
This special child will need much love.
His progress may be slow,
And he'll require extra care
From the folks he meets down there.
He may not run or laugh or play,
His thoughts may seem quite far away.

In many ways he won't adapt,
And he'll be known as handicapped.
So, let's be careful where he's sent
We want his life to be content.
Please Lord, find the parents who
Will do a special job for you.
They will not realize it right away
The leading role they're asked to play.
But with this child from up above
Comes stronger faith and richer love.
And soon they'll know the privilege
In caring for their gift from Heaven given,
Their precious child so meek and mild

CJ, heaven's very special child, returned to the Father on October 16, 2020.  His task of bringing joy, richer love, and stronger faith was complete.  He leaves precious memories with his parents: Cassandra Morrison and Charles Henderson (Patricia) – Lawton, Oklahoma; Siblings: Briana Henderson and Jacques Henderson – Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Grandparents:  Earnest and Maylene Claridy, and Mamie Ingram and Joe Charles Henderson (deceased); Great-grandparents:  Lessie Brown and Lonnie Brown (deceased); Special Aunt:  Christie Williams; Special Cousins:  Alexis Owens and Christian Dye; Support Liaison:  Keith Morrison; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
