Daniel James Collins was born to Willie Lee & Curlie Mae Collins in Gainesville FL on November 7, 1963. He went to school in Cross City FL (Dixie County). After graduating he joined the US Army but it was a short term due to an injury.

Daniel James Collins left behind his devoted wife of 31 years Joanne Collins, father Willie Lee Collins mother Curlie Mae Collins (deceased) sons Terrance Collins(wife Melinda Collins), Devyn Erwin, Johnny Owens. Danielle Collins whom he raised as his own daughter. Sisters Ida Pearl Cross (husband Edward Cross) Mary Alice Welch (deceased) Willie Mae Allen (husband Eugene Allen) and Shirley Nix (husband Reggie Nix) Angela Harris (husband Allen Harris). Brothers and best friends their whole life Leroy Collins SR (deceased), Fred Collins, Sylvester Collins, Willie Lee Collins JR, Ronnie C Collins( wife Chandra Collins). Lillian Keys a very special friend. Grand children Tamara Collins, Eniyah Erwin, Charleigh Erwin, Maliah Washington, Jeremy Marshall, Jamyla Marshall,Jamyra Marshall.
And host of nieces and nephews.
