Deaconess Lucille Patterson Randolph departed this life on October 6, 2022, at Solaris Healthcare of Lake City, Florida. She was the third of ten children born to the late Benjamin Franklin "Frank" and Allie Lou "Lula" Patterson on August 28, 1932, in Live Oak, Florida.
She was educated in the Suwannee County Public School System and graduated Salutatorian of the Old Douglas High School Class of 1953.
She accepted Christ as her Savior as a teenager and joined Greater New Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church where she was a very faithful member. She served in the following capacities: Steward Board, YPD Director, Stewardess Board, Missionary Society, Choir No. 1, and was a founding member of ACES (Active Christian Elderly of Suwannee). On December 8, 2013, she was ordained a Deaconess in the African Methodist Episcopal Church.
On April 10, 1955, she married Perman Randolph Jr. A union that lasted 55 years and to which 4 children were born.
Her employment history included McCrory's Five & Dime Store and Suwannee School District Food Services department.
Deaconess Randolph was preceded in death by her husband: Perman Randolph Jr.; parents: Frank and Lula Patterson; siblings: Earnestine "Peaches" Williams, Frank Jr., James David ("JD"), Edward, Harry, Houston, and Walter Patterson; and a devoted daughter-in-law, Athena R. Randolph.
She leaves to cherish her memory 4 children: Tommy and Angela Randolph of Lake City, FL; Bruce (Mildred) Randolph of Memphis, TN; Harrell (Earnestine) Randolph of Live Oak, FL; 11 grandchildren: Latoya (Maurice) Townsend of Winston, GA; Cory (Tiffany) Randolph of Greensboro, NC, Eboni (Walter) Farabee of Winston-Salem, NC, Khari (Ebony) Randolph of Coldwawter, MS, Harrell II and Joshua Randolph of Atlanta, GA, Shayla (Glenn) Adwin of Melvern, PA, Kobie and Trinity Randolph of Los Angeles, CA, Aaron (Elizabeth) Randolph of Charlotte, NC, Avona Randolph of Starksville, MD; 13 great grandchildren; sisters: Grace Reid and Eva Police of Live Oak, FL; many nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, other relatives and friends.
