Debra Jean Lily was born on October 9, 1960 to the late Geraldine Nixon. Debra received Christ in her life and was baptized at an early age. She served as a Mother of Resurrection Ministry for 16 years under the leadership of Pastor Helen Lily Kiser. She attended Hamilton County High School and was a graduate of the Class of 1979. She was employed by the Department of Corrections until she retired. Debra had a passion for photography and fishing. She had a love for all children she met, she could come up with a nickname for each one of them.

In addition to her mother, Debra was preceded in death by her brother William Reed (Pookie) Lily.

Debra leaves to cherish the memories of her life in the hearts of two sisters: Willie Mae (Donald) Williams and Pastor Helen Lily Kiser of Jasper, Fl. Four brothers: John Lily of Tallahassee, Fl., O'Neal Nixon of Jasper, Fl. Roosevelt Nixon Jr. of Donaldsonville, Ga. and Pastor Desi (Valarie) Nixon of Jasper, Fl; Other relatives: Mr. James Lily, and Mr. Koslo Ford. A close friend: Debra Collins Jones, a host of stepchildren, nieces, nephews and sorrowing friends.

Weep not for me, though I am gone into the gentle night;

Grieve if you will, but not for long upon my soul's sweet flight.

I am at peace, my soul is at rest;

There is no need for tears, for with your love I was so blessed.

There is no pain, I suffer not;

The fear all is gone so put these things out of your thoughts.

In your memory I live on but remember not my fight for breath

And please do not dwell upon my death.

But instead, Celebrate My Life.
