OBITUARY

Dollie Brown took her last breath on February 22, 2023, in the late evening, after a long progressive illness. She was born December 27, 1937, in Howell, Georgia to the late Ida Green and Willie Roberts. Married the love of her life the late Willie James Brown, Sr. They shared in raising eight children: Willie Jr.; Clarence (Sue); Larry (Mamie); Frank L.-deceased (Wanda); Linda (Alton) Jones; Gwen -deceased; Shirley Thomas; Kenneth (Wendy).

Dollie was a hard worker, both at church, at home, and on the job. She devoted her life to Christ by joining Southside Church of Christ over 50 years ago and continued at Northside Church of Christ as a member until her death. She loved having all her grandchildren during the summer months. She retired from Metal Products and went on to be self-employed as part owner of a cleaning business for 20 years. She also had a love and a passion for cooking and fishing. All who dropped into visit were welcome to get a special treat when pineapple cake, sweet potato pie, or chocolate cake was on, the menu.
