Elder Eugene Sellers was born on August 25, 1930 in Fargo, Georgia to the late Isaac and Janie Sellers. At a young age, he became acquainted with the late Bishop Annie Adams and, under her tutelage, gave His life to Christ at the age of 16. Elder Sellers worked diligently with Bishop Adams, serving the Lord in many capacities over the years: Deacon, Ruling Elder, Pastor and any other position or service that was needed. Elder Sellers served the Lord with gladness while being employed as a dairy farmer, working on a lumber yard, and for the Florida Department of Transportation. In 1951, Elder Sellers was united in marriage to the daughter of Bishop Adams, Annie Mae Betts, and to that union were born 7 children.   He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother Willie Mae Sellers, one daughter: Elizabeth Sellers; two sons: Eugene Sellers, jr and Arthur Sellers; 4 sisters: Edith Bell, Jessie Graham, Dolores Love, and Juanita Sellers; 3 brothers: Willie James Sellers, Robert Sellers, and Johnny Sellers. Elder Eugene Sellers is survived by: His wife of 68 years, Bishop Annie M. Sellers; one son: King Isaac Sellers (Marion) Archer, Florida; three daughters: Jannie Sellers (Melvin), Sealey Jones (Earnest), and Sheila Hill all of Mayo, Florida; 2 grandchildren raised as children: Anthony Kelly (Toniwy) Lake City, Florida, Sherrie Harrell (Roger) Mayo, Florida; One brother, Samuel Sellers, Sarasota, Florida; 19 devoted Grandchildren: Anthony, Sherrie, Cassandra, Terrill, Tiffany, April, Talisha, Latricia, Laquinta, Sharese, Terrence, Shantasia, James, Arthur jr, Earnest jr,, Trenton, Alexis, Shallieah, Stanley; 37 loving Great-Grandchildren; One Great-Great Grandchild, all whom he loved dearly and will forever cherish his memory; One God-daughter Ariana Cook; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, spiritual children, and many cherished brothers and sisters in Christ. Elder Eugene Sellers departed this life for his heavenly home with God the Father and Jesus Christ the Son, taken in flight by the Holy Ghost on Saturday, December 21, 2019. To paraphrase Elder Sellers's testimony:

Jesus kept me Holy up until this present time

Pray that the older I get the more like the Lord I'll be

I'll go back with Him when He comes, Pray for me

I intend to go through!
