Sister Ervine Cole was born on April 30, 1941, in Lowndes County, GA to the late Erosker Mitchell and Florida Collier Mitchell.

She attended the Hamilton County School system. At 19, she left home and went to Atlanta, GA. Later she moved to Newark, New Jersey, where she lived for several years. While there she married Mr. Johnnie Peterson and assisted him in raising his 3 children; Barbara, Irene & Charles. After that marriage was resolved, she returned to Belleville, Florida.

On August 1, 1985, she was united in holy matrimony to Mr. C.W. Cole. He preceded her in death.

Sister Ervine confessed Christ at an early age, while in Newark, N.J., she sang in her church choir: New Hope Baptist Church. She had a beautiful voice. After returning home, she reinstated her membership at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

On Wednesday morning, January 29, 2025, at the BedRock Rehab and Nursing Center in Live Oak, Florida, Sis. Ervine Cole answered her Savior Jesus Christ's call to come "Home". Some of her last words were "I'm getting out of here and I'm going Home. Sis Ervine did just that!

Sis Ervine is preceded in death by her parents, spouse, and 2 siblings: Mr Quilliam Davis Mitchell and Ms. Aline Mitchell.

She leaves to cherish her memory and celebrate her life, 3 sisters: Ms. May Lillie Willlams, Valdosta, GA, Mrs. Ossie M. (Julian) Howell, Live Oak, FL, and Mrs. Margie Armstrong, Belleville, FL. 2 Brothers; Mr. Leon (Willie Jean) Valdosta, GA, Mr. Alfonso (Magalene) Belleville, FL, One Uncle; Mr. Autmon Mitchell, Orlando, FL, 3 Brothers-in-law, 4 Sisters-in-law, 4 Step-Children and a host of nephews, nieces, and other sorrowing friends
