Ms. Eva Mae Jones was born August 19, 1941 to the late General Lee Holmes and Corneiya Spencer in
Jasper, FL. She attended JRE Lee School. Growing up, Eva was a faithful member of Greater Poplar
Springs Baptist Church. She later relocated to Miami, Fl where she enrolled in Nursing at Miami Dade
College. She later received a Nursing degree and was employed at Jackson Memorial Hospital as a
registered Nurse for over 30 years.
Eva was a fighter as she endured every battle that came her way. Though her health challenges were
many, she was content that she had received her three scores and ten years as promised in Psalm 90:10
and was ready to accept what God would allow.
On May 6, 2023, God dispatched his Angels from heaven above to the Suwannee Valley Nursing Center
in Jasper, FL to give her wings. She is soaring high and will forever be in the hearts of all that loved her.
Ms. Eva Mae Jones is preceded in death by her daughter, Angela E. Jones.
She leaves to cherish the memory of love for her beloved identical twin Sister, Annie Mae Holmes
and her devoted family. Children: Patrick Jones (Hazel) Jasper, FL, Hubert Tyrone Jones, Miami, FL,
Michael C. Jones (Charlotte), Miami, FL.

Siblings: Elizabeth Jenkins, Randell "Tony" Holmes, Lisa Holmes Smith, Charles Moose, Tammy Benjamin.

Seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews,
family and friends, the Lee family and a devoted and loving Nephew Buddy Lee.
