Eva Straughter was born on March 4, 1962 to the late Willeva Graham and UD Graham of Jasper, FL. She graduated high school and later on became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). She became a faithful member of New Bethel AME of Bellville, FL.

She was comical, fun and full of love. She would keep a smile on your face. Every person who came in contact with her fell in love with her funny ways and vibrant spirit. She lived a life worth living. Eva was irreplaceable—a beautiful soul with a one-of-a-kind spirit that will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Eva Straughter was preceded in death by her mother - Willeva Graham; Father - UD Graham; and brother - Ernest Graham.

She leaves to cherish her memories: a husband of 35 years, Wilbur Straughter Sr.; children - Shandon Graham of Jacksonville, FL, Wilbur Straughter Jr. (Ramesha) of Jacksonville, FL; and Nicholas Straughter of Jasper, FL. She was blessed with 6 grandchildren: A'Zarriah Harper, Esabella Jeffrson, Joseph Jefferson, Nevaeh Jefferson, Elijah Jefferson, and William Straughter. Her siblings: Sisters - Dorothy Simmons of Jasper, FL, Versie Gideon (Walter) of Orlando, FL, Maggie Tyson of Jennings, FL, Juanita Horns of Lake City, FL; Brother - Yulee Graham (Erma) of Jennings, FL; a host of nieces and nephews.
