Evelyn
Philpot
Feb 6, 1946 — Sep 30, 2023
On February 6, 1946, Evelyn Louise blessed the Earth with a divine purpose. She is affectionately known as Louise, Aunt Louise and Aunt Weezie. Louise was born to the late Ozar and Lillie Mae Garner. She attended Suwannee County public schools. She graduated from Douglass High School with the Class of 1964.
Louise accepted Jesus as her personal savior at an early age. She loved the Lord and faithfully served in her church on the Usher Board and the Kitchen Ministry for many years. She was appointed as a Deaconess.
Louise trained up four children as a single parent. She provided them with a safe home full of love and discipline. She loved her family. She was grieved when she felt someone had a need. She was a giver and expected nothing in return.
Louise impacted her community. She had a God given gift with children. She operated a Home Daycare for over three decades. Over thirty years, she helped nurture numerous children. When parent(s) left their child(ren) with Aunt Weezie, they knew their child(ren) would be taken care of. Children loved Aunt Weezie!
Weezie's proverbs will be echoed for generations by her daycare children (e.g., I am going to have church on your bottom).
She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Edward Philpot in September 2002. During their union, she cared for her ailing husband until his death. During this union, Louise and Edward adopted her great nephews, Devon and Jamar.
She leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters: Sharonda (Freddie) Mayo (aka, Brinnie) and Blanquita Williams (aka, Lock); four sons: Alfonanzo Lee (aka, Al), Muhammad (Angracia) Lee (aka, Sam), Devon and Jamar Philpot. She leaves to cherish her memories her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters: Dorothy (Willie J) Scott and Ozie Demps; one aunt: Earcey McGhee. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and sorrowing friends. She had a very special relationship with Cynthia Baker, Mary Jo Nelson, and Deborah Jean Wilson.
