CELEBRATION OF LIFE AND LEGACY OF BISHOP JAMES H. BROWN, JR. 1937~2019
Bishop James H. Brown, Jr was born October 27, 1937 in Statesboro, Georgia to the late James H. Brown, Sr and Lucy A. Brown.
He was educated at Lowndes Training Center (Mt. Zion School), Valdosta, GA. He retired from O&IIPCA 2003 after 35 years of service. On September 6,1959, he was united in Holy Matrimony to Mother Cladyes Little Brown and to their union five children were born.
Bishop Brown and his wife were the founders and Pastors of Liberty Holiness Church later name Liberty Christian Fellowship Church, Inc. in Valdosta, GA.
He served faithfully as a Deacon, President and Elder for years under the leadership of the Late Bishop C.A. Brown, Sr. and "The Church Built on the Rock." He was ordained as a Pastor by his uncle, the late Bishop Clarence Wells in 1993. He was ordained as a Bishop by his Son-In-Love, Dr. Harvey B. Be of The Winning Churhc, Warner Robins, GA in 2010.
He was preceded in death by his wife and parents, his son Willie A. Brown, two brothers; Wilie Brown Sr. and Saul Brown, Grand-daughter, Tomanda Timmons and Great-great Grandson, J ohnathan Carter, II.
Bishop Brown leaves to cherish his memory four children; Kathy B. Cobb, Valdosta, GA; Fred (Carolyn) Brown, Sr. Valdosta, GA, Dr. Veronica (Harvey) Bee, Kathleen, GA and Steve (Gracie) Brown, Naylor, GA. Four brothers; Pastor Henry (Julia) Brown, Sr., Jessie (Marieta) Brown, Joseph (Joyce) Brown, Sr all of Valdosta, GA and Theodis (Evelyn) Brown of Tacoma, WA., Four sisters; Josephine Randolph, Eloise Brown, Wilow Dean (Ernest) Jenkins all of Valdosta, GA and Rose Barfield of Winter Haven, FL. Two brothers-in-love; Warren (Vanessa) Litle, Atlanta, GA, Melvin (Loretha) Little; Dayton, OH. Six sisters-in-love; Zadie (Nathan) Nicholson; Tampa, FL. Lavern Bell, Valdosta, GA., Wilma (Bishop Waymon) Roberts, Valdosta, GA. Marilyn L. Byrd, Marcia Little, and Mollie Little all of Dayton, OH. 13 Grandchildren and 18-Great-grand children and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Special friends Elder T.J. Henderson, and Belton King. Special thanks to the following caregivers; Rita Donaldson, Darlene Bellemy and Pauline Kineade, Fellowship Home and Bethany Hospice.
