James met and married the love of his life Michele Dye Cason of Jennings, FL. He was a loving husband, son, father and grand-father.

James departed this life on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at his home in Jennings, FL. James was preceded in death by his Father, Lewis Cason Sr.; his Son, James Cason Jr.; his Stepfather, Tommy Morris; his Father-in-law, Bonnie Dye Sr.; his Grandparents: Horace and Essie Cason of Dixie, GA and Isaiah and Christener Cooper Tim of Boston, GA.
