James Jonathan Washington was born April 28th, 1966 to the late James E Washington and Carrie Belle Washington in Delray Beach, Florida.
James received his education in the public schools of Delray beach where he Graduated from Atlantic high school in 1984
He later attended Bethune-Cookman College, then transferred to Palm Beach state college and found employment with Sears where he worked for a number of years before finding employment with Motorola, and later GTech. After a number of years he relocated to North Florida where he was employed with Lowe's, The department of Juvenile justice and finally the Department of Corrections.
He accepted Christ at an early age at st paul A.M.E. in Delray beach where he was an active member of the young adult choir, a member of the trustee board and where he met the love of his life Chondra Smith at the age of 16
They later married on October 24, 1997, and raised 4 sons. In 2005 they relocated to Live Oak Fl. Where their family became members of Allen Chapel A.M.E. James served as the Assistant Superintendent of the Sunday school, and a member of the trustee board.
James enjoyed most sports but his favorite was football, he was a loyal fan of the Florida state Seminoles, fishing was also one of his favorite pastimes, but most importantly spending time with his family brought him true joy.
James answered the call home on November 19, 2019 at home surrounded by his loved ones. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Chondra, Sons: Brice, Marvin (Kayla) Jordan, Chase. 3 Grandsons: Nazir, Nylan, and Kameron. Mother: Dorothy Godmother: Mattie. 3 sisters: Pearlnita (Julius) Bonnie Sue, Marilyn. 2 Godsisters: Linda ( Lou) Robin ( Milege Sr.) 2 Brothers: Walter, who preceded him in death (Nokkaew), Christopher. And a host of Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins and treasured friends.
