Joe Nathan Lee Sr. (affectionately called Po Boy) was born August 4, 1948, to the late Rosebell and Otis Lee Sr.  The sixth of eleven children. At an early age he accepted Christ and joined the Greater Popular Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Jasper, FL where he followed in his parent's footsteps and served as an usher.

Po Boy was a 1967 graduate of J.R.E. Lee High School.  He met the love of his life, Linda Lou Pierce and they were united in marriage on August 24, 1968. To this union two daughters and a son were born, Felicia, Joe and Nikesha.

His parents instilled self-sufficiency and Joe learned work ethics at a very young age. Growing up in the small rural town of Jasper he learned how to work hard, developed trades and perfected them over time.  He retired after 45 years of service at Occidental/PCS Corporation.  Upon retiring he continued to enjoy fishing, hunting, handy man work and spending time with his great grandchildren. He was a die-hard Gator fan and was happy to witness them win the NCAA men's basketball Championship earlier this year.

On Thursday, May 1st he suddenly transitioned from his earthly home.  In addition to his loving wife of 56 years, Linda Lee, he leaves a family blessed with his memory: three children: Felicia Lee Jeffrey (Bruce) of Lithonia, GA;  Joe Lee II (Nikki) of Laurel, MD; and Nikesha Lee Hawkins (Ken) of Jasper, FL.; six grandchildren: Timothy Wells, Iesha Lee, De'Andrea Bristol, Aaliyah Battle, Maya Lee, Cameron Lee. Eight Great grandchildren: De'Aysia Newsome, Jaleyla Wells, Dezi Gibbons, Obrielle Newsome, Trinity Wells, Kamari Wells, Kyndal Newsome, Akeim Edwards; Nine siblings James Oscar Lee, Maggie Lee, Shirley Webb (Matthew), Carl Lee (Helen), Charles Lee, Linda Thompson (Don), Francis (Matthew) Armstead, Janice Lee, Ray Charles Lee.

Po Boy was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Otis Lee Jr.  He also leaves behind a loving extended family, including numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Among them, his close friend G.B. Hogan

Po Boy's unwavering strength, dedication to his family, and love for his community will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.
