Lonnie E. Scott was born on November 03, 1943, to the late William and Vallie Mae Scott Sr. He attended Hamilton County Schools.
Lonnie accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church Bellville, FL.
Lonnie early in life relocated to Hastings, FL where he lived and worked many years. 1980 He was employed with the Lee Malby and PoBoy Farms. 1982 he worked for Clyde Barnes and Sons where he managed a crew of 25 workers with grace and respect. On the off-season Lonnie to crews to Dover, Delaware, to work the potato fields, demonstrating his commitment and strong work ethic. During his time in Hasting, FL he joined Mt. Moriah Baptist Church where he was a member of the choir. Lonnie touched many hearts with his voice of praise. Outside of work and church Lonnie had a love for restoring old school cars and motorcycles.
During his time in Florida, he joined Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, where he continued to serve the Lord. Lonnie retired and returned home, where he rekindled his love for Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Lonnie was known for his duty, his unwavering integrity, and respect he earned from everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by (1) brother William Scott III and (1) sister Odessa Scott Cane
He leaves to mourn his devoted loving Wife, Cynthia Sanya Tiller of Palatka, FL; (1) Daughter, Anita Scott; (1) Son, John Edward Marshall of Jennings, FL; (3) Stepdaughters: Brianna Henson (Demetrious), Raquelle Henson, and Kisha Curty, all of Orlando, FL; (L) Stepson, Joshua Curry of Orlando, FL; (3) Grandchildren: Shabnesha Moore of Tampa, FL; De'ashia McCray and Fonta Deering of Palatka, FL; (I) Great grandson, Kyrie McCray of Palatka, FL; (1) Brother, Eugene (Betty) Scott of St. Petersburg, FL; (2) Sisters-in-law: Sharon Thompson and Carolyn Curry, both of Orlando, FL; (2) Brothers-in-law: Edward Thompson and Dweese Thompson, both of Orlando, FL; and he leaves a host of step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other sorrowing friends. Lonnie also leaves to cherish his memories a devoted Friend, Marvin Faults of Clyattville, GA.
