At an early age she confessed Christ and was a member of the West Lake Missionary Baptist church, and later in life she became a member of the Bethel A.M.E. church in Bellville, Florida, and at the time of her demise she was a faithful member of The New National Grove Missionary Baptist Church.  In Live Oak, Florida.

Lougene was a worker in her own private home, until her health failed her. On Friday, September 3, 2021 at Haven Hospice in Lake City, Florida. Lougene answered the heavenly master called, saying well done thy good and faithful servant.

She was preceded in death by her husband Amos, Sr. one daughter, Betty Jean Pierce, (3) sons, Amos Jr., C.W., and Henry.

She leaves to cherish:

14 Children; 8 Girls: Thelma, Rosa, Carrie, Lilly, Mary, Sindy, Jannie all from Jasper, FL

6 Boys: Lewis, Willie both from Jasper, FL, Fred (Mary) Bradenton FL

33 Grands, 59 Great grands, 22 Great Great Grands
