Sister Mary Lois Homer was born on April 10, 1955 to the late Mother Marion Hall Homer and the late Deacon Robert Homer, Sr. of Valdosta, Georgia. She received her GED and went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Valdosta State University in 2001. She was employed and later retired from The Lowndes County Department of Family and Children Services. Mary Lois was one who enjoyed people and life. She could hold a conversation with anyone as long as they were willing to talk. Always ready to help whenever she could and lend a helping hand to those in need.


She leaves to cherish her memory her loving son Tony Brown (Verner) of Savannah, GA, grandchildren Johnathen and Shayla Richie both of Savannah, GA, Two brothers: Jimmy Cowart, Sr. of Darien, Georgia, and Robert Homer, Jr. (Kim) of Valdosta, Georgia. Three sisters: Diann Jenkins and Joann Homer of Valdosta, Georgia, and Mary L. McGriff (Michael) of Tampa, Florida. Nine nephews, three nieces, and a host of cousins and friends.
