Mary
Reynolds
Dec 12, 1962 — May 16, 2019
Mary C. Reynolds was born December 12, 1962 to the late Joseph and Doris Eckel Reynolds in Buffalo N.Y. where she spent most of early life. After the death of her father at the age of 4 the family (mom and 8 children) was uprooted and natural changes took place, which included her Catholic upbringing.
At the age of 13, Mary came to Maryland with a group and met Sarah Higginbotham. As the years passed their friendship continued until, as a young woman, Mary came to D.C. on Vacation to help Mrs. Higginbotham In their 2-week VBS and later moved to D.C. She joined The Upper Room MBC and was baptized. Mary was an avid church member singing in the choir and whatever else she could do.
Mary knew her neighbors and they knew her. They accepted her offer to help, to lend her bike and so much more. Many of the Carry-Outs she took from the Church went directly to a neighbor who lived alone maybe.
Mary Reynolds will be missed in her community, Mt. Olive in Jasper FL. She was a faithful servant and witness for Jesus Christ. Even with her unusual behavior and attitude she was a believer and will be welcomed home with all God's Children.
Mary leaves to mourn, her only sister; Rose Reynolds (Michael) 2 nieces; Amy and Emily, 1 nephew; Ryan and Grand Niece; Olivia. All of Buffalo N.Y. She leaves her "Mother" Sarah Higginbotham and all of her family of which she was a member from her youth, including 2 very special; Mike Rush, Buffalo N.Y. and Betty Sonnveld and her entire family also known as her "other family, Greenbelt, Md.
