Mrs. Minnie Mae Jackson was born on February 16, 1930 to the late Benjamin and Minnie Linton in Suwannee County, Florida.  She was educated in the public schools of Suwannee County.

Sister Minnie Jackson accepted Christ at a very young age and joined the Bethlehem A. M. E. Church of McAlpin Florida.

As a member of Bethlehem she served as a Steward, Church School Superintendent, Member of the Senior Choir, PME of Jackson-Mackey's Missionary Society, a Member of the Silver Sisters East Florida Women's Missionary Society, First Vice President of the Lay Organization, Chairperson of the Benevolent Fund and Church Clerk.  She has also served as:  Annual Conference Delegate, District Steward, Adult Church School Teacher, Church Secretary, YPD Director, President of Senior choir, and Assistant to Junior Choir, President and Director of Lay Activities of the Lay Organization.  Member and Past Recording Secretary of the Suwannee River Lay Organization and a delegate of the EEDLO.  She has been an Observer to two General Conferences:  Cincinnati and Indianapolis. She was Consecrated as a Deaconess in 2017.

Mrs. Jackson was affiliated with civic and social groups.  She volunteers with The Christian Mission-In-Action Group of Live Oak.  She is a Member/Past Secretary of The Heroines of Jericho Floral Court #37, Live Oak, FL, and Treasurer of the Community Cemetery Committee and Member of the Pallbearers Union #45.

She was united in Matrimony to the late Lawrence Jackson.  To this union seven children were born. Two, Andrew and Roger, preceded her in death.  A long and fruitful life came to a close on April 13, 2023, at North Florida Regional Hospital.

Beautiful memories are left   in the hearts of her children Vivian Williams, Sheryl Jackson, Anthony Jackson, LaTonja Jackson, all of McAlpin, Florida, Donald Jackson (Maxine)of Lake City, Florida.  Survived by one sister Allene Thompson of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, 5 grandchildren Andrea Jackson Franklin (Brian) of Coral Springs, Fl Vonchea Jefferson (Treless)of Lake City, Florida, Jheryl Daniels (Christine), of Coleman, Fl  Renae Williams and Sara Williams of Live Oak, Fl.  Nieces/ daughters Ruby Manuel, Mary McCray and Sandra Regina Freeman 3 great grandchildren Elijah Franklin and Dominique Franklin and DeKayla Jefferson.  A host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, God children and friends.
