Moses L. Robinson was born on September 29, 1948 in Jefferson County, Florida.  His parents, Abraham and Bessie Roberts Robinson were overjoyed to add another baby to the family.  He was all boy and enjoyed a close bond with his brothers and sisters.  At an early age, he confessed Christ, and joined Bethpage Missionary Baptist Church in Wacisssa. He was very active in church, participating with the other young people there. He graduated from Jefferson County High School in 1967.  While there, he flourished as an athlete, which was a trademark of the Robinson family.  He was quite a man who did things his way

Throughout his life, Moses worked hard in Jefferson County with Walker's Pecan House before migrating to Jasper, Florida.  He brought that work ethic to Walker's Pecan House on Highway #6. With his beaming personality, he never met a stranger. Moses would have several conversations taking place at once and still gave every customer individual attention.  He had the ability to talk people into making more purchases than intended through those conversations.  Travelers passing through made it a point to stop at the Pecan House on Highway #6 just to see Moses.

After several years, Moses opened his very own business – Moses' Pecan House in Jasper and Lake Park, Georgia locations.  Being the entrepreneur, he was, he established other businesses such as Moses' Car Wash and Moses' Trailer Park.  There were times he had to be tough to survive but he never backed down from a challenge.  Through his personal successful investments as a business owner, he employed family and friends.

Jasper became home for Moses and even more so, after becoming friends with the woman who would become his wife, Dorothy A. Simmons Robinson.  After their union, one son, Rodney was born.  They enjoyed so many family times with favorite trips back to Wacissa.  Moses loved his sisters, brothers and family with all of his heart and his son and nephews will share, "he was our hero."

Brother Robinson visited several local churches in Jasper before making Mt. Moriah Baptist Church his new church home under the leadership of Rev. Arthur Bryant.  He was faithful to his church and the services there.  He continued to visit community churches taking part on their programs where needed.

Moses enjoyed his friends and those he met along the way.  He loved spending personal time with his big brother and sharing everything.  Their relationship was priceless, as he would mention being the last two brothers.  Moses enjoyed bargaining or making a quick deal and long conversations with everyone.  There was a daily banter with Dennis Bohler and a weekly Friday Night Seafood meal with Dot and the grandsons.  If you were a part of his work crews, the carwash gatherings, sports events and other activities enjoyed, you have memories for a lifetime.

Brother Robinson was preceded in death by his parents: Abraham Sr. and Bessie Roberts Robinson; Four brothers:  Willie, Isaac "Ike", Abraham Jr., and Arthur James; Three sisters:  Martha Best, Carrie Kelly and Gladys Wilson.

He will be cherished for always by his loving and devoted son:  Rodney Robinson; Mother of his son and caring confidant:  Dorothy A. Robinson; Dedicated Daughters:  Peggy Bell and Matilda Gurley; Grandsons:  Kejuan and Jaden Robinson, Travis Mitchell and William Spearman; Granddaughters:  Paige Jones and RaMiyah Robinson; Brother:  Elessie "LS" Robinson (Dorothy L.); Sisters:  Ruth Robinson, Elizabeth Lewis, Eva Parker, Mary Hicks and Rebecca Robinson; Sisters-in-Law:  Barbara and Martha Robinson and Rev. Minnie Robinson; Brother-in-Laws:  Jessie Simmons, Charles Simmons, Edward Simmons and Rondell Simmons; a huge host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends; Rev. Arthur Bryant and the Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church Family
