Mother Agnes Virginia Franklin-Williams was born to the late Woodrow Curtis and Eliza Jane Johnson-Franklin on January 19, 1945 in Pearson, Georgia. She was the first of 11 children.
She received her formal education from the Homerville Public school System.
She was joined in Holy matrimony to the late Ernest Mingo. This union was blessed with three beloved daughters. She later was blessed with 3 more daughters with her companion Otis Lee Williams.
Mother Williams accepted Christ as her personal Savior in her youth. She was a long-time member of Shiloh Baptist Church #2 in Homerville, Georgia., under the leadership of the late Rev. Shaw.
Mother Williams later moved her membership to Morning Star Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Timothy Riser. It was there that she was appointed, by Rev Riser, as Mother of the Church for over 25 Years.
Mother Williams felt that God was calling her to another church. The spirt lead her to her final church home at St. Mary's Fellowship Worship Center, under the leadership of Rev. Jimmy Andrews, where she serves until her life's journey ended.
Mother Williams made her transition from this life on July 11, 2020.
Mother Williams was employed a Clinch Memorial Hospital in the dietician department as a cook until her retirement.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings. Obie Franklin, Terry (Connie)Franklin, James Franklin, and Mathew Franklin.
She is survived by her One Son: Shae (Hali) Bell-Savannah , Ga. her six daughters: Earnestine F. Bolton- Valdosta, Ga., Monica Marie (Johnny) Martin-Kingsland, Ga. , Patricia G. Tolbert,-Homerville, Ga, Melinda A. (Jimmy) Andrews, Kingsland, Ga Debra (Herbert) Burkes-Kingsland , Ga and Lisa R. Williams-Kingsland, Ga. Three Sisters Suzie M. Ford-Tallahassee, Fa. Leatha M. (Elisha) Edmond- Douglas, Ga. , Joan (Keith) Edmond -Lakeland, Ga. Three brothers : Tony B. (Sharon) Franklin, Milwaukee, Wi, Larry A , .Franklin, Columbus, Ga. Twenty -three grandchildren, thirty Great Grandchildren and one Great-Great child. And a host of Nieces, nephews, and cousins
