Nettie Ruth Watson was born April 4, 1963, in Mayo, Florida to the late Lee Matt and Emma Rowe Watson.

The Godly training of her parents inspired her to seek Christ at an early age at Jesus Christ Community Church. Nettie graduated from Lafayette High School in 1982. She was employed by The ARC North Florida.

On December 13, 2020, the Angel of Death removed from Nettie the breath of life at North Florida Regional Medical Center of Gainesville, Florida.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in eternal rest by two sisters: Shirley Watson and Rhoda Watson; and two brothers: Johnny (Mary Alice) Watson and Freddie Watson.

She leaves to cherish his precious, fun-loving memories to one son: Lorenzo Lewis of Jasper, Florida; eight sisters: Brenda (Willie) Powe, Andrea (Ronnie) Smith, Sara (Martin) Hernandez, Willie C. Thomas, Carla Thomas, Donna Thomas, and Belinda Travis, all of Mayo, Florida, and Angela (Ronnie) Gardner of Live Oak, Florida; six brothers: Curtis (Joyce) Watson, Albert Watson, Herman Watson, Jimmy Watson, Alvin Watson, and Edward Travis, all of Clemon, Florida; a special friend: Timothy Bryant; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
