M r. R oosevelt ( S am) W illiams was born on March 20, 1939 in Valdosta, Georgia to the late Elsie and Verlee Williams. Roosevelt received his education within the Lowndes County School system.
Roosevelt accepted Christ as his Lord and personal Savior. He was baptized at Bethel A.M.E. Church, where he was also a member.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children: Rufus (Jerilynn) Alexander, Anthony (Sylvia) Perry, Frankie Williams (Delores- special friend), Richard (Beverly) Williams, Angela (Matthew) Hawkins, Anthony Williams, and Jennifer (Craig) Coachman, step children, Linda Tyler, Cheryl (Archie) Johnson and Essie (James) Brown; two sisters, Pearl Rentz and Ola Mae Boyd; three brothers, Mosel (Betty) Williams, James (Liz) Marshall and Will Frank (Katie) Williams; nineteen (19) grandchildren and twenty-two (22) great grandchildren; a special niece, Neatha Godfrey and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, the late Elsie and Verlee Williams, he is preceded in death by Maso Williams, James Williams, Areatha Williams Pierce and L.C. William
