Ruby Lee Hill was born on October 20, 1940, in Concord Georgia to the late Willie James & Ruby Hill.

Ruby Lee Hill entered into God's Kingdom on January 10, 2024, at North Florida Regional Hospital of Gainesville, FL with loved one by her side.

She received her formal education in the Pike County School System.

She was employed by Pilgrim Pride, formerly known as Gold Kist Corp, until she retired. After retirement she fulfilled her time by visiting the sick and shut in, visiting nursing homes, being a long-time care giver, and providing transportation to those in need.

She was a proud and longtime resident of Live Oak, FL and known by many.

Ruby is fondly remembered by many as the candy lady. She is also known to be blunt as well as she was giving.

Her ability to sacrifice, provide, support, forgive and love, will be forever in the hearts of all she knew.

An array of loved ones celebrates the life of this extraordinary women, to include her children. Michael Hill (Miami, FL), Leonard "Woody" Hill, (Live Oak, FL), Timothy L. Hill (Great Falls, MT), Joann Johnson-Miller (Austell, GL), Chad E. Hill (Lake City, FL)

Ruby also leaves to mourn her grandchildren: Tiffany Hill, Theresa Williams Barber, Tronda Pennington, Theola Hill, Michael Pennington, Germaine Duncan, Travis Thompkins, Charles Hill, Eugene Hill, Mercedes Hill, Charlette Hill Timothy Hill Jr., Lamar Johnson, Ja' Ailyha Hill 19 Great Grandchildren.

Ruby Lee Hill was the second of eight children and is survived by her sister Wilhelmina Daniels, Robert Hall. Aunts: Elizebeth Robinson, Betty Lewis and Annette Passmore

Also, to cherish her memories are her dedicated nieces: Gwendolyn Wellmaker-Jone, Andrena Renee Foster, Nellie Owens, Celestine Hill, Sharunda Jones- Pruitt, Arnitryce, Neacy Jones- Sambola, Sadie Jones, Kendra Jones, James Hill, Wilfred Foster: Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends.
