Ms. Susie Mae Hogan was born October 3, 1929 in Valdosta, Georgia to the late Joseph Martin and the late Clara Mae Martin. Susie passed away on July 23, 2021. She was ninety-one (91).

Susie was a faithful member of Ousley Baptist Church, formerly known as Ousley First Born Methodist Church under the leadership of Pastor Ivory Campbell and Pastor Curtis Sermons.

She was married to the late John L. Hogan Sr. the love of her life

Ms. Susie Mae Hogan was a devoted wife, a caring mother, and a loving grandmother. She took pride in her faith, family, food, and farm. She was an excellent seamstress and was known in her family to fry the best fried chicken. She was intelligent, quick witted and did not mind sharing her opinions life stories and funny jokes. She was a woman of her word and always made sure you knew she loved you.

She is preceded in death by her P arents: Joseph Martin and Clara Mae Martin; Husband; John L. Hogan Sr.,: one son. John L Hogan Jr.: four Sisters: Margrett Addison, Josephine Mitchell, Joann Harrell and Elizabeth Johnson: Seven Brothers: James Martin, Roy Eddie Martin, Joe Lewis Martin, James Henry Martin, Robert Lee Martin and Ulysses Martin.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, one Daughter, Princess Brown (Kenneth) of Valdosta GA: Four Sons: Napoleon Hogan Sr. (Juanita) of Carrolton Ga, Williams Hogan (Shirley), Roosevelt Hogan and Billy J. Hogan, all of Valdosta Ga: One S tepson , John Register of Valdosta, Ga, 30 Grandchildren ; 25 Great Grandchildren ; 2 Great-Grandchildren ; one Brother: Freeman Martin of Cairo, GA: One Daughter- in- law, Jackie Hogan of Valdosta, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends
