Tanzie Lee Dowels was born November 30, 1952 in Meigs, Georgia to the Late Emmette and Dorothy Mansfield Dowels. She was educated through the JRE High School Systems.

Tanzie worked for Suwannee Valley Nursing home, Counsel of Aging, and Florida Department of Corrections.

Tanzie departed this walk of life on December 29, 2022.

She was proceeded in death by her brother Vandell Dowels; and parents Emmage and Dorothy Mansfield Dowels; and grandparents Willie and Ophelia Mansfield, Godparents Mark and Thanie Hawkins.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories: Her children: Leutonia Dowels, Alfonzo Pender Jr., and Kenya Riggins; Her brother: Samuel Dowels Sr, Sister: Emily Johnson and Mary Jones Grandkids: Kimberly, Roderick, Denesha, Devonte, Derrien, Damion, Kyla, Kendell, Eyana, De'Mhani, Kali,

Kennedi, Aubrey, Devonte Jr. Namaya, Alani and Kainen.

She also leave to cherish a devoted Nephew Samuel Woodard-Dowels Jr. (Scooter) and Niece Arnell Dowels.

Extended Sisters and Brothers: Aquilla S., Gwendolyn, Shirley, Carrie, Brenda, Linda Joyce, Levon, Annette, Linda, Ghetteann, Pastor Kathy, Patricia and Kelly Jr. Tanzie also held a special place in her heart for her extended children: April P., Lois H., April C., Valerie, Resa, and Shateria. And a host of loving Nieces and Nephews and sorrowing friends.
