Tawanda Willis was born on December 21, 1964 in Jasper, Florida, to the late Naomi Alexander and Willie James Willis.

Tawanda attended the Hamilton County School systems and the Job Corps in Evansville, Kentucky.

Tawanda answered her call home on March 24, 2026. She was preceded in death by her two brothers: Rufus (Jerilynn) Alexander of Hawaii and Ernest Alexander of Bellville, Florida.

Tawanda leaves to cherish her memory: her two CHILDREN: Theresa Willis of Valdosta, Georgia and Twillonda Willis of Bellville, Florida; two GRANDCHILDREN: Mark Henderson and Raven Thompson, both of Valdosta, Georgia; two GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Jordan and Jasmine Holiday, both of Valdosta, Georgia; a devoted SISTER, Brenda Alexander of Lake Park, Georgia; four devoted BROTHERS: Kenneth (Kathy) Alexander, Alfonso (Shana) Willis, Kenneth Jones, and James (Letrice) Willis; her devoted NIECES and NEPHEWS: Anthony (Precious) Adams, Sheree Alexander, Carolina Alexander, Allen Alexander, Alfonso Jr. and Daisy Jones; devoted FRIENDS: Cynthia Scott of Bellville, Florida, and Patty Thomas of Valdosta, Georgia; along with a host of devoted cousins and friends.
