Tedrick Lavelle
Joseph
Dec 15, 1987 — Oct 17, 2025
Tedrick Joseph you will always be the love of my life. I thank God for every single day we shared
I'll carry your smile, your laugh, and your love with me always
As we say goodbye we hold onto God's promise in Psalm 34:18.
The Lord is near to the broken hearted and saves the crushed in spirit:
Heavenly father, we thank you for the gift of Tedricks life for his love, his laughter, and his light. Though our heart aches we trust that he rested safely in your arms free from pain surrounded by your glory. God granted you strength, comfort, and peace as we carry his memory forward. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
Today, we gather to celebrate the life of Tedrick ("Doe") Joseph, a man whose smile could light up any room; whose laughter was contagious and whose presence made life and little brighter for everyone that knew him. Ted was only 37 years old, but in those years he lives with more joy, humor and heart than many do in a lifetime.
He had a spirit that was larger than life-outgoing, full of energy, and always ready to make someone laugh no matter what kind of day they were having. If you were lucky enough to be around Ted, you knew you'd never stay in a bad mood for long. Ted lived his life in color-with laughter, love and loyalty. He taught us to smile through the tough times, work hard, but still find joy in the journey, and to never forget the people that mattered the most.
Tedrick was an amazing Father, a wonderful husband, and a true friend to everyone who knew him. He was a gentle giant in every sense-strong and steady on the outside, but with a heart so soft, kind and full of love. He cared deeply for his family and being a father was one of his greatest joys. As a father, his love knew no limits, the way he loved and guided his children showed the depth of his character and the greatness of his heart!
For six years, I was blessed to call him my husband. Losing Ted feels impossible because how do you say good-bye to someone who was your laughter, your partner, your best riend, your strength? But I find comfort knowing his spirit lives on in the people he touched, the family he loved and the memories we'll hold forever.
Tedrick ("Doe") Joseph was born December 15, 1987 to the late Michael LeWayne Joseph and Wanda Sanders Walker. Ted accepted the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age and was a member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Madison, FL.
Ted was proud of the work he did as the Chief Operating Officer of R&S Trucking-hitting the road with dedication and pride. He worked hard not just for himself, but for the people he loved the most.
Tedrick is survived by his beloved and devoted WIFE, Tiffany Gunsby Joseph. He is also survived by his CHILDREN: Jakayden Flournoy, Jakayla Flournoy, Teveyah Joseph, and Tedrick Joseph Jr. His MATERNAL GRANDPARENTS: Gladys Edwards and Williams Turner Sr.; His PATERNAL GRANDPARENTS, Manor Joseph Jr. and Dorothy Frazier Joseph; His BROTHER, Joshua Barfield. His SISTERS: Michelle Joseph, Danielle Johnson, and Ashli Joseph. His MOTHER-IN-LOVE, Stefanie Gunsby. His FATHER-IN-LOVE, Raynard Gunsby. His SISTERS-IN-LOVE: Ciara Gunsby and Ra'Nesha Gunsby. A SPECIAL NEPHEW: Tajh Joseph; His FRIEND, who is more like a brother, Johnny Stevens. And many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
