Timothy B
Jones
Feb 8, 1961 — Mar 26, 2020
Boston
Timothy Baron Jones was born on February 8, 1961 in Boston, MA. His parents, Willie F. Jones, Sr and Allegra B. Kaigler Jones-Dye were so excited to welcome another beautiful bouncy baby boy. Timmy, as he was fondly called, enjoyed everything that was "all boy." He loved playing with his three brothers and many cousins right on Maywood Street. His family and friends made memories there that are far too many to name. He spent lots of his childhood in Jasper, Florida and Walterboro, SC, making memories and friends that would last a lifetime.
At the tipoff of his educational life, he attended St. Johns Catholic School and Cathedral High School where he was a scholar and a super basketball player. He spent his 8 th grade year in Jasper, FL where he attended Hamilton Middle School. Timothy was the Valedictorian of that 1975 graduating class and a part of the 8 th grade Hamilton Middle School championship basketball team. He graduated from Cathedral High School and completed his AA Degree from Chamberlin Jr. College. He executed this part of the game very well.
At the free throw line of life, he sinked it every time, for year after year, he worked on his job as a Mailroom Operator for New England Financial that merged into Metropolitan Life Insurance, and Wellington Management. Timothy was always excited about over time and bonus time. He received numerous awards for his work ethic and he took great pride in this.
He never stopped running up and down the court, making good times in this life. He had the highest sports IQ and could talk about them all day long. He loved the Knicks and the Rams and stayed totally committed his teams no matter what. In concert he enjoyed, George Clinton , Janet Jackson, Earth, Wind and Fire, the Temptations and his cousin, Leon Beal.
The next play was fatherhood and Timothy took this on with a seriousness unmeasured. He absolutely loved being a father to his children and taking part in everything that involved them. His son was truly his "CHAMP" and he loved watching him play in his basketball games. He was so excited and thankful to watch Trey walk across the stage receiving his Bachelors degree. His daughter was his precious "Baby Girl" and he loved watching her in the dance competitions. He was thrilled when she was recently named her dance troupe's captain. His granddaughter, Treasure came along and he beamed with pride. This three-point play (children and granddaughter) sealed the game winner for him.
It was a slam dunk when he realized he wanted to be a part of God's kingdom. He joined and was baptized at Concord Church of Boston. He enjoyed the fellowship there and sometimes shared in the Singles Ministry events with his aunt.
Timmy absolutely cherished his mother and she preceded him in death along with his grandparents: Ernest and Georgia Kaigler and Marion and Julia Jones. Much of his time growing up was spent with loved ones, Ralph and Mattie Powell, LaVoncia "Bonnie" Kaigler Sheppard, Aquilla Kaigler Alston, and Gregory Powell who all preceded him in death.
On March 26, 2020, Timothy Baron Jones finished this game of life with a game winner. He heard the welcome voice of Jesus say, "it is finished." Game over here on earth. He played his life's game and he played it well.
He leaves the sweetest memories forever in the hearts of his beloved son: Trey Baron Jones; loving daughter: Timia Allegra Jones; Granddaughter: Treasure Jones; Father: Willie F. Jones, Sr.; Brothers: Willie F. Jones, Jr., Stefon L. Jones, and Dexter C. Jones; Sister: Diane Johnson; Aunts: Queen V. Kaigler Beal, Deloris Giles, Mary Jones, Genora Kennedy, Hattie Steward; Uncle: Clarence Jones. Nieces, nephews, dearest cousins and sorrowing friends.
