Mr. Ulysses Cherry Sr. was born on April 18, 1938 to the late Frank Ward and the late Katie Lou Ponds.

On Tuesday, September 3, 2024, the Angels of Heaven welcomed Ulysses Cherry Sr. into its heavenly
and eternal home.

Mr. Ulysses Cherry Sr. was employed at the City of Jasper until he retired. He was a hardworking
and caring person. He loved to dance and loved his family. He loved family gathering.

Mr. Ulysses is preceded in death by his father, Mr. Frank Ward; mother, Katie Lou Ponds; brothers,
Willie Hill, Mozelle Curtis, Michael, Ponds and John Ponds.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories to his children: Gerald (Paula) Cherry, Ulysses (Charisse) Cherry Jr., Reginald Cherry, Tina(Ronnie) Ingram, Kim (Herb) Rahmings, Katrina Cherry (Rodney), Dwayne (Claudia) Cherry, and Robert Johnson; Siblings: Christine (Taff) Smith, Catherine (Daniel) Kelly, Lucille Silver, Annetta (Emmanuel) Taylor, James (Vickie) Ward, Carrol (Miller) Harris, Samuel Ward, Rosezella Ward, and Deloris Baker; Sister­ in-law: Sylvia Ponds, Special Caretaker: Jennifer Smith, Special DJ: Derek Smith, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great­ great grandchild, cousins, and friends.
