Brother Wendell D. Thomas was born on April 26, 1963 in Gainesville, Florida, to the late Mr. Otis and Dorothy
Thomas. He received his education at Branford High School after which he went into the Job Corp.

A TIME TO WORSHIP

He confessed the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior. He was a devoted member of New Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Branford, Florida. He was also a great man. A man who selfishly distributed his a talents as a musician for many churches, which included but not limited to the Suwannee County area.

A TIME TO REST

Brother Wendell Thomas departed this life on Thursday, January 9, 2025, in Gainesville, Florida.

He leaving loving memories in the hearts of his family. 3 brothers: Clarence Copeland of Arcadia, FL, Otis Thomas, Calie Thomas, both of O'Brien, FL; 3 sisters: Eveline (Darrell) Reid of Lakeland, GA, Stella (Willie) Thomas of Lake City, FL, Mercedes (Maurice) Gaskin of O'Brien, FL; 2 sisters-in-law: Glenda (Bruce) Thomas of Orlando, FL; Van Jones of Bronson, FL; special cousin, Louise Wilkerson; and a host of nieces, nephews, special friends, cousins, sorrowing community friends and neighbors. Wendell was preceded in death by his mother and father: Otis and Dorothy Thoms Sr., Verlene Ryan, Maecel Copeland, Mae Eva Hines, Geneva Milton, and Terry Thomas.
